Saving Portfolio Question?

My husband and I are in our mid 20's. We have paid off most of our debt and are looking for suggestions on savings options for retirement. We both have 401K's and/or IRA's. I'm not sure how to begin invest for our future. Looking for any and all suggestions for beginners.
